Three Exceptional Days at InfoComm 2016: Day Two

Ribbon_450x300If Super Tuesday wasn’t your Day One, well, this is either Day Two-Plus or it’s an especially auspicious Day One, because today the InfoComm 2016 show floor opens (follow that?). For the sake of “Three Exceptional Days” tradition, you did take in Future Trends, IoT Insights, or one of the other daylong sessions the day before, followed by the Freakonomics keynote and opening reception.

Now you’re up. You’re clear-headed. You’re ready to go. So plan for this…

Wednesday, June 8

We cut the ribbon in the 8:45 – 9 a.m. time frame. Who’s gonna be the first to set foot on the show floor?

Love audio? Then Wednesday is a big day for training. Get a load of:

And that’s the tip of the iceberg for audio training on Wednesday. Fill your dance card (while leaving plenty of time for the show floor).

And we seem to be front-loading the show with brand-new training. About 75% of the education sessions are new, and a lot of them are happening today, such as IS79 – AV and IT – What’s Working, What Needs Improvement? (8 a.m. to 10 a.m.), IS15 – AV Over IP: A Better Mousetrap? (10:30 a.m. to 12 noon), IS21 – Wireless AV Integration and New Technologies (12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.), IS36 – Government Regulations and the AV Industry (2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.). That’s a full day right there.

Wednesday also brings the first of two lunch events in association with the IMCCA (UCCL01 – UCC State of the Industry Lunch and Learn, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.). This is always a standing-room-only affair, with an impressive panel of executives working in unified communications and collaboration). You gotta eat sometime. Might as well peer into the future of one of the AV industry’s most vibrant segments. (The food trucks, which are new this year, will always be there for a bite to eat later.)

We haven’t even touched on all the Manufacturers’ Training going on at the show. Every time you take one of these sessions, you get a $35 voucher to use in the InfoComm Show Store.

Finally, need an evening out? Join our first-ever Live, Loud & Local networking event at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Get a behind-the-scenes look at the Cosmo’s newest technology, then enjoy a reception at the awesome Chandelier Bar.

What you do next is up to you. Don’t need to tell you that after-hours parties put on by your favorite exhibitor partners are going on all over town. Enjoy.

And then get ready for tomorrow.
