A Brand’s Best Friend: 3 Ways Digital Signage is Like Your Favorite Pet

Digital SignageThere is nothing like the unconditional love of a beloved pet.  According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, 36.5% of American households have dogs and 30.4% have cats.  Why do so many people have pets?  The same reasons that brands should be considering digital signage.

  1. They greet you at the door

Pets are always happy to see their owners*, greeting eagerly with a tail wag.  Well-placed digital signage can serve a similar purpose in your space.  It can be used to showcase the brand from the moment the customer approaches the store.  With the use of interactive technologies, the experience of greeting can be personalized and triggered by movement or their frequent shopper ID.

*Well, this might only apply to dogs, as we all know cats expect you to greet them.

  1. They are a companion

Pets have great therapeutic benefits and can be a trusted friend – who will never share your secrets.  Digital signage is also a great companion to the brand marketer, supplementing other advertising campaigns and channels with targeted messaging.  For instance, a brand might place television and radio spots and run a loyalty program through their app, and reference both in their in-store digital signage.

  1. They are loyal

Pets have been known to cross cities or states to return to their owners when they are lost.  They are extremely loyal.  And because digital signage is placed in known spaces, it too can be loyal to your brand.  Signage in a retail store or corporate lobby can run your brand messages 24×7,  never taking a break from its mission.  Even advertising placements in digital signage networks can be scheduled to dominate a target demographic, location, or channel for maximum impact.  One thing you know for sure is that people will be in the airport, mall, or office complex.  Now, you know how to reach them!
