InfoComm ended a year of industry outreach events on a Rocky Mountain High! On Thursday, December 8, InfoComm and Logic Integration presented the final Lunch & Tour of the year to Denver-area architects. The case study and tour was held at the Smoky Hill Vineyard Church, just outside of Denver.
Architects were treated to a 2-hour presentation and tour of audiovisual design elements and current trends specific to house of worship construction and design. Attendees discovered the effectiveness of digital signage in communicating to a congreation, how to integrate high definition video systems without disturbing the sancitity of the space, and the advantages of integrating video distribution, audio distribution, lighting and HVAC into one centralized and controlled system.
What a great way to end a year packed with outreach events!
The saying goes “everything is bigger in Texas” and at InfoComm we just finished up a super-sized week of activities in Dallas. We began the week on Tuesday with the Rental and Staging Roadshow where InfoComm staff was on hand to meet and mingle with members from Texas.
Concurrently, InfoComm hosted the third installment of our outreach event to meeting planners – the Power of AV for Meeting Planners. The third installment of this outreach event was the biggest and best yet. Meeting planners discovered everything they need to know about our industry ranging from audiovisual basics to the latest tips and tricks to make their meetings pop.
The week ended with a member-only Roundtable atop the 27th-floor of the Hilton Anatole. The day began with four Manufacturer’s Training sessions from Biamp, Williams Sound, Digital Projection and Community. There were some new faces and some familiar and the entire week was capped off with a rousing discussion on the issues facing our members in the audiovisual industry.
Adios from the Lone Star State!
Happy AV Week from InfoComm headquarters! The staff here just wrapped up our AV Week celebration with an all staff party. We hosted three contests for staff to get in the spirit. View the photo gallery.

InfoComm is celebrating in other ways too. Throughout AV Week, we have been tweeting InfoComm trivia questions – with five winners so far! On Friday we wrap up AV Week with an e-recycle drive at the Fairfax office.
We are also hosting a Member Roundtable and AV Tech Conference in San Diego this week. We are excited about our industry and we hope you are too! Congratulations on all of your succesful AV Week plans!
